What is SSL (Secure Socket Layer)?
SSL is an internet security feature that is used
to protect sensitive information such as personal
and credit card details. Such details are encrypted
as soon as they are entered, thus rendering them
meaningless to internet hackers and fraudsters.
How secure is it?
128 bit SSL encryption is currently the strongest
available and is endorsed by authorities and financial
institutions the world over.
How will I know if the information I am
entering is secure?
You can tell that you are in a secure area of
Pest Help because the URL in your browser's Address
Bar starts with https://, rather than http://,
and there is a small padlock displayed at the
bottom of your browser window. Look for the Padlock
if you are unsure when entering your details online.
